WHAT TO EXPECT - Awarded “Best Nonprofit Fundraising Event” by Arkansas Business, A Fair to Remember is back! Patrons will step back in time into an old world carnival setting, as they enjoy live music, food & fun with friends, libations, games, prizes, live & silent auctions, specialties & curiosities, plus a few carnival surprises.
WHEN – A Fair To Remember (AFTR) is Thursday, September 20th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
VENUE – We’re excited to be holding AFTR this year at the hottest special events venue in Central Arkansas, the Masonic Center, located at 712 Scott St. in downtown Little Rock. The excitement surrounding the revitalization in downtown housing, restaurants, SOMA, the Creative Corridor and more are a direct reflection on the dozens of spectacular events already held there this spring and summer. Not only a hit with patrons, the venue and its staff has also received glowing reviews from event planners.
FREE VALET PARKING
ATTIRE – AFTR is just what is says – a fair. The event is casual with a circus flair. Jeans, or whatever you feel comfortable wearing to any fair, are acceptable.
TICKETS – For the first time, electronic tickets through Eventbrite are being utilized for AFTR. This helps increase efficiency and lower costs over traditional printed paper tickets, plus offers other operational features. However, if a patron is more comfortable with a paper ticket, they will be accommodated.
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS? – Individual tickets are $50, and tables/groups of 10 are $500.
How do I purchase tickets online? –You can purchase tickets online through any of the following options:
You can pay with any major credit card, register your email address, and a ticket will immediately be emailed to you. Upon your arrival to AFTR, you can either present a paper ticket you print yourself in advance, or display the ticket at the door from your smartphone.
BY PHONE – We are happy to accommodate ticket purchases over the phone. Simply call 501-748-3311, have your credit card ready, and we will complete the process for you. You will have the option of your tickets being emailed to you, or, we will print and mail to you.
BY CHECK - You can mail a check along with your ticket order form. If you do not have a ticket order form, you can download one from afairtoremember.org/tickets, or, request one by calling 501-748-3311.
AT THE DOOR – Tickets may be purchased at the door if they are still available (we are expecting a sellout). Everyone is encouraged to purchase tickets early.
WHO BENEFITS – AFTR is the Arkansas Hospice Foundation’s largest fundraising event. Proceeds from AFTR are utilized to meet the needs of Arkansas Hospice patients and families that are not covered by traditional means.
WHO CAN ATTEND – Anyone who is 21 or older and has a ticket can attend.
HOW YOU CAN HELP – As a fundraising event, AFTR is meant to provide a great time for everyone attending. Upon arrival there will be several ways you can help enhance the success of the event:
LIVE AUCTION – With the aid of a live auctioneer, several unique items will be available for your bid. Have your checkbook or credit card ready!
SILENT AUCTION – Dozens of items will be on display for the silent auction. With the holidays around the corner, this is an excellent opportunity to pick up fabulous gifts at an incredible value for a worthy cause.
PLAY GAMES – Purchase Fair Bucks from the booth and play our carnival games for fun prizes.
DONATE – Whether you attend, bid on an auction item, make a Gift of Kindness, play a carnival game, or simply make a donation, any way you can participate is greatly appreciated.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR AUCTION ITEMS – A table with representatives from Arkansas Hospice Foundation will be ready for you to register your major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) in order to bid on silent and live auctions. You will be issued a bidder number on a wristband that is used for a speedy checkout upon your departure from the event.
